Enduring...
"Lucifer whispers that life's not fair and that if the gospel were true, we would never have problems or disappointments...The gospel isn't a a guarantee against tribulation. That would be like a test with no questions. Rather, the gospel is a guide for maneuvering through the challenges of life with a sense of purpose and direction." --Sheri L. Dew.
The gospel is there for us to cling to with both hands as we trudge through the challenges of life and watch our testimonies blossom. Lucifer would have as believe that it's unnecessary, limited, or false. He waits for us to stumble so we can be led astray, but we can hold to the faith we have and carry on, carry on, carry on!

When you've fallen down...
Can I just see right here how grateful I am for a prophet that lives today to give counsel and guidance when we need it most?
" there are times when we will experience heartbreaking sorrow when we will grieve and when we may be tested to our limits. However, such difficulties allow us to change for the better, to rebuild our lives in a way our heavenly father teaches us, and to become something different from what we were, more understanding than what we were, more empathetic then what we were, with stronger testimonies then we had before." -- Thomas S. Monson October 2013
Something 2016 has taught me is that a truly repented heart, a truly humbled soul has to literally change. Become more than you were before. Only then can you grow. Can your testimony, your love be, your sight, your heart, etc grow. And that's why we're here...to grow.

Footprints...
... I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me." The Lord replied, "My precious, precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, It was then that I carried you."
