Presents!

One of the best presents of the year was Aiden's personalised Book of Mormon.
As much as I want to take credit for this gift; it actually came from his nursery teacher, Sister Griner.
Inside the book she wrote a message to Aiden, thanking him for being such a memorable child.
She's always commenting on how bright he is, and artistic. It touched our family so much to learn what an impact our son has already become. Thankyou, Sister Griner.
Future Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints:
Elder Aiden Robert Phillips.
Well not anytime soon, but ...he's on his way!

Julie's Book

For the past two months I've been working on a book for Julie of her grandchildren.
This is the finished product.....keep in mind; it's meant to just be a collage:

This is our 2008 family photo. It transferred weird: the "ghost" you see is Aiden. Fortunately it turned out perfectly in the book.

Christmas was perfect!

Christmas 2006, Julie gave each of her sons and their wives a Christmas ornament recognising their "first Christmas together." It's a beautiful ornament which we have had on our tree every Christmas since. Here's my attempt to take a picture of it.....did I mention it's a mirror? lol!
Christmas eve eve (lol) I rounded up the boys and went over to my mother-in-laws for a Phillips girls "Baking Day!" It was so fun, and yummy, too!
Then on Christmas eve, Daniel, the boys, and I went over to deliver presents and a Christmas dinner to the "adopted family." The Phillips' have a tradition of adopting a family in need each Christmas; it's the greatest feeling in the world to see the impact you can make on someone, merely giving food and a few presents.
Christmas eve night, after tucking in the boys, Daniel and I shared our little tradition of opening one present! He got me an autographed, hard-backed copy of the book Twilight.
Christmas day started way too early (if you know who my husband is......I think he woke the boys up!) and we recorded the boys opening their presents!
Then we headed over to Bob and Julie's to open family presents. Which we recorded, too, for the boys to remember!
It was perfect, and I hope everyone was as fortunate to share the holiday with family!

Classic Christmas

I was watching the boys play with the wooden train by the Christmas tree at Bob and Julie's. It was such a "Classic christmas" moment!

But then Loggie spotted me and headed for the camera!!

Just can't wait!

As luck would have it, Logan was crawling around the entertainment center where we hung our stockings and HIS stocking fell down!!! So he looked up....looked down at the stocking....and started eating the Candy canes!

Aiden's Christmas tower!

Call me a dork, but I was so proud of Aiden today: He built this tower using all of the blocks; ALL BY HIMSELF!!!
GOOD JOB, Aiden!!

No More Peanuts!!!!!!!!

So, Saturday was normal until I decide to share my peanut butter and jelly sandwich. No more than five minutes later he looked like this!! So needless to say; I was freaking out!!
So I get on the phone with Julie and then the Pediatrician.
Fortunetly, no more than five more minutes and some Benadryl,
he looked like this:

So apparently Logan is very allergic to Peanuts! Lesson learned.

Footprints...

... I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me." The Lord replied, "My precious, precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, It was then that I carried you."
